Executive Team
Raymond KeneippPresident & CEORay Keneipp brings to Current Analysis more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive, entrepreneur, marketer and analyst. As President and CEO he is responsible for managing, maintaining, directing and developing the strategies for all day-to-day operations of the company. He is responsible for translating Current Analysis’ long term vision into successful execution and achievement of objectives. Ray re-joins Current Analysis after having served as Vice President of Networking Strategies for the Company in the late 90s. He comes to Current Analysis from Burton Group where he was the Vice President & Service Director for Burton's Network & Telecom Strategies service and responsible for managing the NTS services content and consulting teams as well as participating as a member of the Burton Groups executive staff. Previously, Ray has served as Senior Director of Planning at WNP Communications, a wireless CLEC he helped form, which was later acquired by XO Communications. He has also held senior sales, marketing and technical positions for Netrix, Paradyne, Universal Power Systems and Codex corporations and was a principal at Net Reference Inc. In 1984, Ray started his own company, C.R Communications, which focused on selling specialized communications products to US Military and Intelligence Agencies. The company is still in business now operating under the name C.R. International. Ray has been regularly featured in industry media and as a speaker at industry events for his expertise on networking. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MS in Telecommunications from George Washington University. Thomas (Tag) GreasonExecutive Vice PresidentTag Greason brings 13 years of experience to Current Analysis, Inc. as a senior sales executive, marketer and financial analyst. As Executive Vice President, he is responsible for all revenue generating activities, and leadership at the executive level of the company. He works closely with the President and CEO in developing and executing the short and long term revenue strategies for Current Analysis, Inc. Prior to joining Current Analysis, Tag was the Vice President of Global Services, East at Savvis Communications, Inc. and oversaw the creation, implementation, and delivery of complex customer solutions. In this capacity, he managed the pre-sales, sales, and post- sale activities for 2000 customers. Previously, Tag has served in other leadership positions at Qwest, Exodus, UUNet Technologies and Charles E. Smith Reality Inc. While much of his experience is in the telecom industry, Tag served as a Financial Analyst and the Manager of Capital Markets for Charles E. Smith, raising over $230MM in debt financing in 9 distinct transactions. Tag holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from George Mason University, where he graduated with Honors. He also holds a BS in Systems Engineering, from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. J. Lawrence (Larry) Griffin, Jr.Chief Financial OfficerLarry Griffin is an experienced finance professional with over 20 years of private industry experience, a public accounting background, and has specific experience in Web platform delivery enterprises. He comes to Current Analysis directly from a successful online subscription-based business, Intranets.com, where he served as both CFO and COO. Intranets.com provides hosted intranet sites for small businesses on the Web. During his nine years at Intranets.com, the company converted its business from a free internet advertising supported business to an online subscription service and he was instrumental in building Intranets.com from negligible advertising revenue to annual recurring subscription revenue of $15 million when it was acquired in 2005 by Webex Communications. In addition to his CFO responsibilities, he launched and managed the Japanese and German versions of the intranet service which included management responsibility for the company’s Japanese joint venture. Prior to Intranets.com, Larry was CFO from 1988 through 1997 at Interactive Video Systems, a manufacturer of semiconductor testing equipment that was acquired in 1997 by Schlumberger Test Systems. He also served as CFO of Accutest Corporation, a venture-backed device test equipment manufacturer, Computer Controls Corporation, a building automation company, and was an audit manager at Coopers and Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Boston. He holds a B.S. from Boston College, an MBA from Babson College and is a CPA. Alex WassiliewVice President, Marketing & Business DevelopmentAlex Wassiliew brings 15 years of experience to Current Analysis, Inc. as a senior executive in sales, marketing and business development. As Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, his team manages company-wide marketing activities, demand generation, product launches, and industry press relations. Alex also oversees Current Analysis’ web commerce channel which aims to leverage existing services across new customer and market segments. Alex first joined Current Analysis in 2002. He previously served as the Vice President of Sales, Infrastructure, and his team was responsible for all of the revenue-generating and account relationship activities associated with some of the company’s largest clients. Prior to joining Current Analysis, Alex was a Director of Sales at Primus Knowledge Solutions where he developed and successfully executed the initial sales and marketing strategy for one of the company’s flagship products. Previous to that role, Alex spent three years at Verizon Communications where he served as Director of Business Development and was one of nine original founding members of a start-up, web-based, competitive local exchange carrier. In this role, Alex led the design of systems and processes, including billing, resale, customer service, marketing and sales. Also at Verizon, Alex served as Product Manager for the company’s initial roll-out of DSL, where he managed pre-launch marketing trials and sales force training. Alex holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the College of William and Mary. He also holds a BA in Economics and Journalism from the University of Richmond in Virginia. Jeremiah (Jerry) CaronVice President, AnalysisJerry Caron brings more than 20 years of experience to Current Analysis as a market watcher and influential voice in the telecom and information technology industries. As Vice President, Analysis, he is responsible for overall management and content direction for the company’s CurrentCompete services. Jerry was previously Current Analysis Research Director, IT Infrastructure, and originally joined the company in 2002 to provide coverage of the European enterprise telephony market. Before joining Current Analysis, Jerry was Publisher of CMP Media's tele.com, a business magazine for telecom and Internet service provider executives. As Publisher, he managed overall operations, including editorial, circulation, research, sales and marketing, during a period when the magazine significantly increased marketshare. Before joining tele.com, Jerry was Editor-in-Chief of CMP Media's LAN Times magazine, a bi-weekly publication focused on enterprise networking and client-server computing strategies. In that position, he was responsible for overall management of the magazine’s content, which included news, feature and product testing departments. Jerry began his career at the analyst firm Faulkner Information Services, where he directed the analysis of the PC, networking and telecoms industries. He has been a featured speaker at major industry events, including Interop and Supercomm, as well as numerous, specialised events and seminars. Jerry graduated with a B.A. from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Eddie HoldVice President, Consumer ServicesEddie Hold brings more than 20 years of experience to Current Analysis as a telecoms analyst and market watcher across both Europe and the U.S. As Vice President of Consumer Services, he is responsible for the overall management of the company’s U.S. consumer-oriented services at Current Analysis. These services include qualitative analysis (Wireless Services, Mobile Devices and Digital Home) as well as quantitative price tracking services for both wireless and wireline service offerings (voice, content tracking, device pricing and bundled pricing offers). Eddie was previously the Vice President of Wireless Services at Current Analysis and has been with the company since 1998. Prior to joining Current Analysis, he was a consultant for Jupiter Communications specializing in telecommunications services, intra-networking, and telecom infrastructure authoring several reports, such as the Midband and Broadband Internet Access Report. In that capacity, he was also a frequent contributor to telecommunications publications in both the U.S. and U.K. Prior to moving to the U.S., Eddie was the Editor in Chief for two telecomm magazines owned by The Economist Newspaper Group. Additionally, Eddie helped pioneer the company's online presence, creating the world's first Internet-based, personalized magazine known as d.Comm as well as advising on the creation of The Economist Online. Eddie is regularly consulted on telecommunication issues by trade and business media. He received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. Robert NorbergVice President, Product Development & ITBob Norberg brings more than 15 years of product management and product marketing experience to Current Analysis. As Vice President, Product Development, Bob is responsible for the product management and development of Current Analysis’s platform, CurrentCOMPETE. Bob comes to Current Analysis from Consul Risk Management, a privately held security software company based in the Netherlands. Bob was the Director of Worldwide Product Marketing where he was responsible for the overall product marketing activity for Consul’s core product lines for both the mainframe and open system environments. Prior to Consul, Bob spent eight years at Visual Networks, a publicly traded telecommunications company. At Visual, he was the Director of Product Management/Product Marketing, responsible for all product management, product marketing, and “Go to Market” activity for Visual’s core products and its partnership and joint development with Cisco Systems. Bob has also held product management and product marketing positions at Acterna (TTC), Cable and Wireless, and Verizon (NYNEX). During his career, Bob has presented frequently at industry conferences and tradeshows and investment conferences and is the author of several articles in industry related trade magazines. Bob is the holder of US Patent number 5,867,483: “Method and Apparatus for Measurement of Peak Throughput in Packetized Data Networks”. He has a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a MBA from Duke University. |
