Once the information about an action or event has been captured, its importance and meaning is determined, and the pertinent employees are made aware of what has happened. Best Practice: Alerts and Broad AccessIntelligence about changes in external conditions and competitors' actions needs to be disseminated throughout the extended enterprise including to channel partners, and in some cases, even to customers. To optimize productivity and effectiveness, intelligence must be made available to authorized individuals at any time, from any location, and used to support their business functions and job responsibilities. Intelligence does little good unless it is available to those who need it. Thus, one of the best methods to realize significant "return-on-intelligence" is to make intelligence available to all customer-facing personnel. |
