►	Siemens Enterprise Enhances OpenScape UC Suite, Making It Easier to Acquire and Deploy Enterprise Communications - Siemens Enterprise Communications’ applications advancements will make it easier for enterprises to implement OpenScape communications software. Execution is pivotal, as rivals are also offering virtualization and hosted solutions.
►	ShoreTel and IBM Prepare to Deliver UC Appliance for SMBs Enterprise Communications - Though Lotus Foundations Reach is still not generally available, IBM has begun building out a channel for the platform. Soon to be in the hands of resellers, the company must now demonstrate it can attract SMBs to its UC appliance.
►	Verizon Business Grows UCC with Cisco TelePresence and Microsoft VoIP Certification Business Network Services - U.S. - Verizon Business took part in Cisco's 2006 telepresence debut, but competitors led the subsequent full-court press. The carrier now overhauled its telepresence strategy to focus on Cisco, and separately certified SIP trunking for Microsoft OCS.
►	Alcatel-Lucent Sets New Standard in IP Phone Design Enterprise Communications - With OmniTouch 8082 My IC Phone Alcatel-Lucent demonstrates thought leadership in terms of desk phone design. The company now needs to demonstrate customer demand for accessing communications and other kinds of apps via an IP phone.
