We are taking a positive stance on SAP’s NetWeaver 7.3, which represents the company’s first full release of the application platform in five years and includes new technology features and expanded support for open source standards across all of the platform’s components.

SAP has two objectives for NetWeaver following this release: to continue to support and maintain existing customers’ core investments, while also looking for new opportunities among customers that have not invested in large scale integrated applications and platforms, but are looking for best practices around a particular vertical via out of the box software or on demand services.
