Software AG’s Terracotta Integration Modernizes webMethods

| Nov 18, 2011 | Application Platforms
| Analyst: Charlotte Dunlap, Senior Analyst, Application Platforms

Software AG’s ability to integrate its newly acquired in-memory caching technology from Terracotta quickly is threatening to competitors, because it supports the company’s move to offer its flagship application platforms technology, webMethods, as a PaaS-based option for customers. This cloud platform is enabled through its ability to enhance the performance and scalability of its middleware products through Terracotta’s advanced technology.

Software AG got a major boost to its cloud strategy earlier this year when it acquired Terracotta for its in-memory caching product-important technology which improves performance and scalability as the company rolls out cloud versions of its business software management tools.
