On October 7th, Sprint clarified its December 2010 Network Vision announcement in a three hour long presentation, specifically as to what its 4G strategy was going to be. Though the 4G strategy was expected in the summer of 2011, Sprint delayed this, citing on-going network infrastructure buildout, the CDMA PTT launch and the iPhone 4/4s acquisition.
With the unveiling fresh in our minds, we offer some quick highlights and thoughts on impact on services, devices and infrastructure. Discussing the announcement are Bill Ho (VP, Consumer Group), Peter Jarich (Service Director, Mobile Ecosystem), and Kitty Weldon (Principal Analyst, Enterprise Mobility) and Wes Henderek (Principal Analyst, Consumer Services). Further reports on this event will follow. |
