The Consumer Electronics Association’s 2012 International CES was held from January 10th through 13th. As in years past, Las Vegas was the venue. Thanks to a reported 3,100 exhibitors, 153,000 attendees and 20,000 product introductions, the show was billed as the largest in the event’s history.
AT&T’s continued push forward with LTE was evident, as were efforts by Verizon on FiOS integration. DISH introduced an industry-leading HD-DVR and (more importantly) a broadband partner with ViaSat delivering a price-competitive bundle with a 12 Mbps broadband tier. T-Mobile extended its Bobsled service while MetroPCS showed off its Dyle TV. And mobile video infrastructure technology is progressing nicely, further enabling multi-screen content delivery.
