Analytical Summary• Current Perspective: Positive on Motorola’s DROID RAZR, because the revival of the once beloved RAZR brand is certainly appropriate – the DROID RAZR is not only the thinnest LTE phone, it is quite possibly the thinnest smartphone in the world. The form factor is not the only innovative aspect the new RAZR brings to the table. Motorola somehow managed to cram a large battery in the case, and rates the phone at 12.5 hours of talk time. Other specs are similarly impressive: 8 MP camera, 4.3” 960x540 display, and a dual core processor. The DROID RAZR is also water resistant, which makes it an ideal companion for Motorola’s new MOTOACTV fitness watch, which looks like an iPod nano watch, only with far greater functionality. The DROID RAZR is pricey at $299, its other accessories are somewhat less impressive, and Motorola has done little to improve on the Android 2.3 build the phone runs. Still, this is extremely impressive hardware – Samsung, HTC and even Apple will have to respond.
