Quick Take![]() Analytical Summary• Current Perspective: Positive on Verizon’s expansion of IP trunking and features such as BEST and VIPER to Asia, because SIP trunking is a foundational service that is being increasingly adopted by enterprise customers seeking to gain cost savings and support for advanced unified communications environments. Verizon’s solution supports the carrier’s Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunking (BEST) and VoIP Enabled Routing (VIPER) features, both of which support cost savings; it brings Verizon VoIP directly to Asia-Pacific locations, adding visibility and service management through Verizon's customer portal. Verizon offered Hosted IP Centrex (HIPC) in Australia for several years as a standalone; the service is now being integrated into Verizon’s global VoIP platform.
